In the course of twenty years, Cantatrix has developed from a club of singing friends into a mature chamber choir, professionally performing in various concert series every year. Next to classics by Purcell and Sibelius, this new recording puts special emphasis on works by contemporary composers. But there is one unifying theme that connects all this music of past and present: Prayer at the high points of our life.
With the new CD ‘Hear my prayer’ Cantatrix presents itself as a vocal ensemble on its way to the top.
Cantatrix hat sich innerhalb von zwanzig Jahren von einem singenden Freundeverein zu einem ausgereiften Kammerchor entwickelt, der jedes Jahr verschiedene Konzertreihen auf halbprofessionellem Niveau veranstaltet. Die neue CD des Chors enthält neben Klassikern von Purcell und Sibelius vor allem Stücke zeitgenössischer Komponisten. Allerdings verbindet die aufgenommene Musik von gestern, vorgestern und heute ein übergeordnetes Thema: das Gebet, das die Höhepunkte des Lebens begleitet.
Mit seiner neuen CD „Hear my prayer“ präsentiert er abermals die Visitenkarte eines Vokalensembles auf dem Weg zur Spitze.
